Experiential programs that fit your curriculum

JA offers in-class and digital programs that provide experiential learning for students in Grades 4-12 to help them build skills in financial health, work readiness, and entrepreneurship.

JA programs are supported by corporate and community volunteers who enhance program delivery by sharing real-life experiences, stories, advice and inspiration. Private and corporate donations allow JA to provide programs to classrooms at no charge.

Educators are invited to register their class for a JA program at the appropriate grade level:

Frequently Asked Questions

When will I receive my JA program?

JA programs are delivered throughout the school year based on funding, volunteer and class availability. Our new digital program offerings provide additional flexibility for educators to select program delivery options that work best for their class and facilitate them at their own pace. Volunteer facilitated programs are offered dependent on volunteer availability. A Program Manager will be in touch once you have registered your class(es) to confirm specific details and timing.

Which program is suitable for my class?

All JA programs are assigned to a specific grade level. We ask that classes participate in the program assigned for the class grade as it should be most appropriate for students. Keep in mind, students may have opportunities to participate in JA programs over several years and, ideally, we’d like them to have a different JA experience each year. Note that if you have a split class, all students are encouraged to participate in the same program regardless of their grade level being one higher or lower than the recommended grade.  We’ll work with you and your school to make sure students have the opportunity to participate in both JA programs suitable for your split class over two years.

Who will deliver the program in my classroom?

There are a variety of models available for each of our programs. Teachers can choose to facilitate a program themselves or can request a volunteer-facilitated program where a JA Volunteer(s) visit your classroom to lead students through the activities. There is also an option for a self-directed format in which students complete activities independently online.

How much will this program cost?

Nothing! JA offers the JA programming completely free of charge thanks to the support of our generous donors, supporters, and volunteers. We rely on the support of our community partners to ensure all program costs are covered.

How does my program get scheduled?

Once you register online, your local Program Manager will be in contact to provide additional program delivery details.

It was a great experience and I’m so glad that JA was recommended to me, as I had no idea that it was available. I have already recommended to other colleagues too! Thank you!
