Experiential programs that fit your curriculum

JA offers in-class and digital programs that provide experiential learning for students in Grades 4-12 to help them build skills in financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship.

JA programs are supported by corporate and community volunteers who enhance program delivery by sharing real-life experiences, stories, advice and inspiration. Private and corporate donations allow JA to provide programs to classrooms at no charge.

Educators are invited to register their class for a JA program at the appropriate grade level:

Elementary School Opportunities

Programs for Grades 4-8, introducing young learners to financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship.

High School Opportunities

Programs for Grades 9-12, providing experiences in finance and business and the tools to build a successful future.

JA programs provide students with experiences in work readinessfinancial literacy, and entrepreneurship.

Frequently Asked Questions

When will I receive my JA program?

JA programs are delivered throughout the school year based on funding, and class availability. Our new digital program offerings provide additional flexibility for educators to select program delivery options that work best for their class. A Program Manager will be in touch once you have registered your class(es).

Which program is suitable for my class?

All JA programs are assigned to a specific grade level. We ask that classes participate in the program assigned for the class grade as it should be most appropriate for students. Keep in mind, students may have opportunities to participate in JA programs over several years and, ideally, we’d like them to have a different JA experience each year. Note that if you have a split class, all students are encouraged to participate in the same program regardless of their grade level being one higher or lower than the recommended grade.  We’ll work with you and your school to make sure students have the opportunity to participate in both JA programs suitable for your split class over two years.

Who will deliver the program in my classroom?

Due to COVID-19, JA has adapted our program delivery methods to align with health and safety protocols and a variety of school scenarios. Programs can be facilitated by teachers or we also have options for students to complete JA programs in a self-directed format online.

JA Volunteers have always been an important part of the JA experience as they share their experience and expertise with students. While volunteers cannot currently visit schools in person, we are excited to offer the option to request a virtual volunteer drop-in, where volunteers can answer student questions and provide additional real-world anecdotes to reinforce program topics (pending volunteer availability at time of program delivery).

How much will this program cost?

Nothing! JA offers the JA programming completely free of charge thanks to the support of our generous donors, supporters, and volunteers. We rely on the support of our community partners to ensure all program costs are covered.

How does my program get scheduled?

Once you register online, your local Program Manager will be in contact to provide additional program delivery details.

What if I have further questions about the JA program?

If you still have questions feel free to contact us.

It was a great experience and I’m so glad that JA was recommended to me, as I had no idea that it was available. I have already recommended to other colleagues too! Thank you!
