JA programs introduce students to financial health, work readiness and entrepreneurship and are available at no cost to teachers, students or parents. JA programs support the curriculum and help students build on skills they learn in the classroom.

Grades 4-8


More than Money – Grade 4

The earlier students learn how to manage money, the greater their chances of lifelong financial success. JA More than Money addresses this challenge by teaching about earning, spending, sharing and saving money.

Formats Available: Teacher-led, Volunteer-led


Pitch Your Vision Jr. – Grades 5-8

Pitch Your Vision Junior is a newly adapted version of the JA high school program that lets students explore business and entrepreneurship in a fun, hands-on way. They brainstorm ideas, do basic market research, build a simple business plan, and practice pitching – then showcase their business idea in a friendly classroom competition.

Dollars with SenseGrade 7

Through the JA Dollars With Sense program, students get the vital tools they need to make smart financial decisions, live debt-free and become savvy investors. Students learn personal money management skills that they can apply to their lives … beginning now.

Economics for Success – Grade 8

In JA Economics for Success, students take a closer look at the advantages of staying in school, as well as learn what’s needed to succeed in today’s workforce. Students create a budget for living on their own and explore strategies for success so that they can see the link between education and achieving their goals.

Success Skills – Grades 8-10

In Success Skills, students identify and build a toolkit of transferable skills that will enable them to increase resilience and improve outcomes through challenging situations.

Formats Available: Teacher-led, Student Self-Directed


Career Hunt – Grade 7-12

JA Career Hunt online events enable students to explore a variety of career paths and the steps needed to secure their own successful career. Teachers are sent a link to the event and can sign in as a class or provide the link for students to sign in individually. Choose from a variety of career sessions and ask questions via a Q&A chat.

Grades 9-12


Investment Strategies Program – Grades 9-12

JA provides teacher resources that explore key investment principles and concepts. These lessons are put into practice during a 6-week online simulation that uses live data to teach students how to apply these skills in a real-world situation.

Formats Available: Teacher-led, Student Self-directed


Pitch Your Vision – Grades 9-12

Students will develop and test new business ideas in an environment that celebrates creativity and innovation. In small teams, they brainstorm product/service ideas, conduct product and market research, create a prototype, develop a lean business plan, and present a pitch. Teams may also participate in a competition with other schools and students from across southwestern Ontario.

Formats Available: Teacher-led (in-class or school club)


World of ChoicesGrades 9 -12

JA World of Choices events give students an opportunity to learn about a wide variety of career pathways through small group conversations with people currently working in those careers. Students understand the skills and experiences employers are looking for and the importance of career planning.

Formats Available: Conference-Style Events

Company Program – Grades 9 – 12

Set yourself apart from the competition with a first-hand experience in business and entrepreneurship. Students work within a team to create a product or service idea, develop a business, launch their business and manage the operations for a period of 15-18 weeks.
